Room 2’s Term 2 Newsletter, 2012
Friday 4 February
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I love this sunny, autumn weather, we have been lucky to have such great conditions to practise the cross-country. The children are getting really fit and should be rearing to go on the May 16.
Topics this term will include: Addition (Maths), “What Happens When We Sleep?” (a literacy, science, social studies unit), Whakapapa (Te Reo Maori). Cross-country then Jump Jam (PE).
If you work a night shift and would like to speak to the children about night time work for a few minutes, please let me know. I have already had one brave volunteer!
Our homework and class routines this term will include:
School readers home on Monday to Thursday (no book bag or returned book, no new book).
Poem folders to go home Friday and come back Monday.
Maths homework to go home Monday and be handed in Friday.
Library book exchange on Friday afternoon before assembly.
Room 2 children will be hosting next week’s assembly.
Please feel free to contact me if you are unsure of anything.
See you all soon!
Debbie van Dorsten
