Term 4 News

Term 4 News for Room 2 Dear Room 2 Parents and Caregivers, Well it is term 4 already and the count down to Christmas has begun but first we have a load of activities to plough our way through. Our class role stands at 20. We are currently doing a science unit on observation of scientific experiments which has been great fun. We are also mouse-sitting “Cheesio” for Hollie during her travels to the USA. This Friday is our class assembly. We will be doing: - A social studies unit on The Role of a Zoo Keeper next week with our trip to Hamilton Zoo on the 7th November. - Our Waipapa Marae trip is planned for the 12th November. - Our inter-school junior athletics will be held on 20th November and the Project Energise team have come on board to make it a really fun and well resourced day. - As December starts we will be doing an art unit on print-making for Christmas cards, decorations and craft etc. The class routines are as follows:  Library- Friday afternoon.  Maths homework books to be back at school on Friday.  Reading books go home and are written into the children’s reading diaries.  Poem folders - go home for weekend reading and are to be returned on Monday.  Maybe togs at school soon! -School t-shirts and shoes are to be worn whenever we leave the school as a group and hats are to be worn during morning interval and lunch times in the first and fourth terms. -School Assembly is held on a Friday at 1:15pm -My school email address, deborahv@paterangi.school.nz Thankyou, Debbie van Dorsten
